This week's guest judge is someone who has been participating in the challenge since the very start! It is Pam from Kassie's Beach. Here is a little bit more about her:

Hi, I'm Pam Bowers and I blog over at Kassie's Beach (named for my puppers Kassie and her favorite place to play). I started blogging in 2007 mostly to keep up with family and friends across the country. In 2009 I got my first dslr camera. That is when my blog started it's journey into photography. I have always had a passion for pictures. Learning how to shoot a dslr in manual was like having blinders removed from my eyes. I had no idea there was so much more to photography. It has been so much fun learning my way with many of you through your blogs both in photography and in editing.

My edit

• Opened in CS5.
• Cropped the image.
• Ran a couple of Coffeshop actions.
• Adjusted curves.
• Adjusted vibrancy.
• Shapened the image a tad.
• Added a vignette and ajusted the mask.
• Added a 30px border in Black.

 This week's fabulous judge is Beth from Snaps of Our Life! Here is a little bit more about her:

I am a SAHM to two girls, Lauren is 4 and Avery is 2. I love taking photos and have recently taken up the treadmill, which I do not love. I have been married nearly 5 years and we've lived in Minnesota for 4 of those years. I love to drink dark chocolate campfire mochas, and play Words with Friends on my phone. My blog is a mix of pictures and advocating for my daughter, who has Down syndrome.

I really enjoyed editing this image so Thank you Beth, I've had fun!

• Opened in CS5
• Created a copy 
• Cropped and rotated the image and moved the crop bars around till I got the piece I wanted for a closer up image.
• Cloned a few twigs from the image (actually I used the Spot healing brush cos I couldn't get the clone to do it properly).
• Opened curves and played.
• Opened HDR and played.
• Opened a vibrancy thing by accident so played with that too.
• I think I may have even added a warm photo filter at some point as well.
• Added a border via canvas size. While working in canvas size I clicked on 'other colours' and used the eyedropper to pick some colour from the berries and used that as the border colour.
• Flattened and saved.

Edit Me 2012 Wk 11

This weeks guest judge and owner of the photo to edit is Belle from Belle pics photography.

I really struggled with this one - makes a change huh - NOT!
Take my word for it these boys look adoooorable with googly eyes - no offence Belle but I couldn't resist. I just love putting googly eyes on people.
Anyways here's what I did with this edit:

• Opened in CS5
• Cropped a little of the edge off. This picture was just about perfectly composed but I wanted to make a square one because I wanted to focus on the boys.
• Ran HDR effect. It may look like I cloned the yellow lines out but I actually just blew them out with highlights.
• Adjusted the Highlight and shadows seperately again.
• Added a border.

Yay, this week we have an animal to edit and not just any animal mind, a bootiful horse in a bootiful pasture!
Problem is, the image was already so gorgeous I couldn't really figure out what to do with it!

Anyway the bootiful horse was submitted this week by Amy Sands  of 'Little Adventures'. Thank you Amy, I just luuuuurved this image.

Here's my edit:

• Opened in CS5
• Cropped and straightened the fence line a tad.
• Cloned out the house in the background.
• Cloned out the headcollar and leadrope.
• Ran a couple of 'Coffee shop actions'
• Boosted the colours even more.
• Sharpened a teeny bit.
• Added a Black/White/Black border.
• Flattened the whole lot.

Like I said I really enjoyed this image.

This weeks image to edit has been submitted by Stephanie of 'Behind the camera and dreaming'.
This is a beautiful image of her gorgeous boy - Jonah.

and here's my edit:

 

• Opened in CS5
• Ran a couple of Coffeeshop actions.
• Added a warming filter.
• Tight cropped.
• Boosted the colours.
• Reduced the brightness of the sky a tad.
• Boosted the eye colour a tad.

I really enjoyed playing with this image even though I still didn't achieve the look I was going for.

EditMe Challenge Wk7

This weeks amazing image is of a "scottish castle on a frosty morning at sunrise with the sheep huddled up around the old stone walls"... and was taken by Rosie of  'LeavesnBloom studio'.
I'm sure you'll agree is a lovely image and if you head on over to Rosies equally fabulous site not only will you find a very productive blog but there is also the popular 'ColourMe weekly' challenge to take part in, tutorials and Freebies - and we all love a freebie - so check it out, you'll love it!

So here is Rosies SOOC

I was having so much fun with the image this week that i actually did two edits.
Here's the first one and my entry for this weeks challenge:

Steps taken (as accurate as I can remember anyways)

• Opened in CS5
• Cropped slightly.
• Converted to Sepia.
• Adjusted highlights shadows slightly.
• Added a 'Kim Klassen' texture and set to multiply.
• Added another 'Kim Klassen' texture set to soft light.
• Twiddled the opacity and fills on each layer a little.
• Over sharpened it to add some grain.
• Flattened the image.
• Added a Black/White/Black border.

That's the first one but I've just noticed I didn't add the first texture correctly and the postage stamp is subsequently warped. Oops!

Second edit:

Steps again:

• Opened in CS5 (getting bored of CS5 now)
• Cropped the image slightly.
• Opened HDR and basically played until I boosted the colours as much as I dared.
• Adjusted shadows and highlights a little.
• Added a White/Black border.
• Flattened image.

I really enjoyed playing with this image, thank you Rosie.

Editme Challenge Wk6

This weeks fabulous image for editing and judge for this week is Selena from 'Stoneyville' and 'Selena stoney Photography'.
Selena has recently started her own photography business and judging by the images on her site I have no doubt how well this lady is going to do. Go on take a look, you'll not regret it.

Gorgeous ain't it.
Here's my edit:

Here's what I did:

• Opened the image in CS5.
• Used a warm filter to help give an early summer evening feel.
• Cloned out the funky green flare on the sleeve.
• Added Kim Klassens Organic texture and set to multiply.
• Added Kim Klassens Simplicity texture and set to multiply.
• Added Kim Klassens Revolution texture and set to multiply.
• Played with opacity and fill on each layer.
• Added text.
• Added a Black, White and then Black border.
• Opened curves to deepen the grooms coat colour as the textures had made it look grungy.
• Done.

I really enjoyed playing with this edit and it's original state was fabulous already. I didn't do any cropping as I didn't feel it needed it so I basically got to just play and see what works.
